About Us

San Ysidro Adult School (SYA)

At San Ysidro Adult School, the primary focus is to help students succeed. Our excellent teaching staff provides instruction to help students learn English, acquire basic reading/writing/math skills, prepare for a new career, earn a high school diploma, and pass the GED. We offer morning, afternoon, and evening classes to accommodate the busy schedules of our students, and we offer classes with whole class, teacher-directed instruction as well as “individualized,” study-at-home options.

Our school also offers a variety of learning resources to students at little or no cost: academic on-campus tutoring and a full-time, career and college counseling service. We understand that adults have many personal responsibilities and that the time they dedicate to their continuing education is precious. At San Ysidro Adult School, we honor our students’ commitment to their education and do whatever we can to assist them in realizing their goals. We are completely client-centered and recognize that our job is to serve the students and the community of San Ysidro through education.
